Facebook has suspended a Canadian data firm that played a key role in the campaign for the UK to leave the EU.

The social media giant said AggregateIQ (AIQ) may have improperly received users' data.

It cites reported links with the parent company of Cambrid

ge Analytica (CA), the consultancy accused of improperly accessing the data of millions.

AIQ denies ever being part of CA, its parent company SCL or accessing improperly obtained Facebook data.

The Vote Leave campaign paid AIQ £2.7m ($3.8m) ahead of the 2016 EU referendum.

An ex-volunteer with the campaign has also claimed Vote Leave donated £625,000 to another group to get around campaign spending limits, with most of the money going to AIQ. Vote Leave has denied any wrongdoing.

AIQ's website once quoted Vote Leave chief Dominic Cummings saying: "Without a doubt, the Vote Leave campaign owes a great deal of its success to the work of AggregateIQ. We couldn't have done it without them." The quote has since been removed.

In total, AIQ was given £3.5m by groups campaigning for Brexit, including Vote Leave, the Democratic Unionist Party and Veterans for Britain. The UK's Electoral Commission reopened an investigation into Vote Leave's campaign spending in November.

"In light of recent reports that AggregateIQ may be affiliated with SCL and may, as a result, have improperly received FB user data, we have added them to the list of entities we have suspended from our platform while we investigate," a Facebook spokesperson said.

"Our internal review continues, and we will co-operate fully with any investigations by regulatory authorities."

In a message posted to its website, AIQ says it is "100% Canadian owned and operated" and "has never been and is not a part of Cambridge Analytica or SCL".

It adds: "Aggregate IQ has never managed, nor did we ever have access to, any Facebook data or database allegedly obtained improperly by Cambridge Analytica."

E1 RENEWABLE ENERGY CO., LTD., a project to establish a diesel processing plant located in Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, has a capital of 3.6 million and can generate 2,121 jobs.

G.W GREENWAYS TEXTILE CO.,LTD, a project that establishes a garment factory located in Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, has an investment capital of $5.27 million and can generate 1,928 jobs.

QIHANG NEW (CAMBODIA) CO.,LTD., a project that establishes bag factory located in Kampong Speu province, has an investment of approximately $5.69 million and can create 3,325 jobs.

HENG MEILING (CAMBODIA) TEXTILE CO., LTD., a project to establish a garment factory located in Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh, has an investment of approximately $2.51 million and can create 649 jobs.

YouTube responds to controversial video of dead body

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- YouTube, the world's largest video sharing network, responded Tuesday to a controversial graphic video of a dead body posted by one of its most popular stars over the weekend.

The YouTube star, Logan Paul, uploaded a 15-minute video footage featuring the dead body of a man who committed suicide in a notorious forest in Japan to a YouTube channel followed by 15 million subscribers.

The video showed Paul and his friends walking through the Aokigahara forest in Japan when they stumbled upon the body of an apparent suicide victim.

The Aokigahara forest is often called "Suicide Forest" where many people in Japan chose to take their own life.

Paul, who has about 3.92 million followers on Twitter, was widely criticized for the sensational and "disgusting" video from other YouTube users.

He later removed the video from his channel by himself and apologized on Twitter for his "incorrect" behavior.

In face of mounting outrage among users, YouTube, which is owned by the world's top tech giant Google, issued a statement Tuesday clarifying its policy of banning violent and other inappropriate contents.

"Our hearts go out to the family of the person featured in the video. YouTube prohibits violent or gory content posted in a shocking, sensational or disrespectful manner," YouTube said in the statement.

Russian Military Plane with 14 on Board Disappears over Mediterranean Sea

MOSCOW, Sept. 18 (CGTN) -- Russia's IL-20 military aircraft with 14 service members on board disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea, according to Russia's Defense Ministry on Tuesday.

The plane went off the radar while F-16 fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force attacked targets in the Syrian province of Latakia, the fate of the Russian military is unknown, an official said.

"On September 17, at about 11:00 p.m. Moscow time, the connection with the crew of the Russian IL-20 aircraft was lost over the Mediterranean Sea when the plane was returning to the airbase of Khmeimim, 35-kilometers from the coast of Syria," the official said.

HAVANVA, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Sunday said his government is open to talks with the United States based on respect towards the island country's sovereignty, independence and its political system.

In an interview to Latin American network TeleSUR, Diaz-Canel said that after U.S. President Donald Trump came into power, relations between Havana and Washington have faced a "serious setback."

"We don't deny the possibilities of dialogue with the Trump administration but it has to be between equals, where our sovereignty and independence are respected. Cuba isn't going to make any concessions," he said.

Diaz-Canel said Washington rolled back thawing links by dictating measures that are "totally unacceptable" for Cuba.

"If this aberrant attitude is maintained, there will be no dialogue. We should ask Trump if he wants to talk but it can't be from a prepotent position," he said.

Last year, Trump signed a presidential memorandum toughening U.S. policy towards Cuba, a document that prohibits U.S. companies from doing business with firms associated with Cuba's military, and restricts U.S. citizens' travel to the Caribbean nation.

According to the Cuban president, the new policy aims to limit Cuba's economic development and goes against the will of most U.S. citizens, entrepreneurs, academics and other sectors.

"There is an important business and agricultural sector that wants relations and investments with Cuba. Also universities, academics and scientists want greater engagement and exchanges between both countries," he added.

Relations were also hampered by alleged "attacks" on U.S. diplomats in the island which led to the partial closure of the U.S. embassy in Havana and the expulsion of 15 Cuban diplomats in Washington.

"In the midst of rolling back relations, they created a fallacy. We have not attacked anyone," Diaz-Canel said.

After months of investigations, security agencies of both countries have demonstrated that the alleged attacks never took place.

The Cuban leader also urged Trump's administration to lift the economic blockade on the island which has become the main obstacle for its development.

"It is a brutal policy. It's against human rights of our people and their lives," he said.

According to a recent report released by the Cuban Foreign Ministry, economic losses caused by the U.S. blockade on the island totaled over 4.3 billion U.S. dollars between April 2017 and March this year.
